A specialist security officer is a cut above the rest. He/she requires continuous advanced training and development. Among other things, the SSO is duly registered and has in-depth experience as a security officer, a well-developed situational awareness and attention to detail during patrolling and performing duties, a high level of law enforcement skills, professional customer service ability, advanced communication skills, surveillance ability and good oral and written communication skills.

Armed Response Officer ARO

(3-Day In-house course)

Armed Response Officer Training
  • Should possess a high level of firearm shooting skills.
  • Advanced driving (offensive and defensive).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) level 3 training.

Cash-In-Transit Officer CIT

(3-day in-house course)

  • Should possess a high level of firearm shooting skills.
  • Advanced driving (offensive and defensive).

Cash-In-Transit Officer Training

Tactical Response Officer (TARO), Tactical Support Unit (TSU), National Support Unit (NSU)

Tactical Response Officer Training
  • Should possess a tactical level of firearm shooting skills.
  • Advanced driving (offensive and defensive).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) level 3 training.
  • A TARO/TSU/NSU should also possess advanced team support skills and should be able to perform high-risk extraction drills under live fire or attack.
